Introduction

The March to War is the web companion to our release The Great War: An American Musical Fantasy. The Great War is a 2-CD set featuring a 76 page, full-color booklet that tells for the first time the story of how the recording industry sold the war. This extensive web feature includes detailed discussion of the songs on the CD, highlights some of the major artists who recorded war material, and shines a spotlight on a few interesting recordings that didn't make the CD. We also tell the history of the project and include links to war material on other Archeophone CDs as well as other recordings by the artists featured on The Great War.
