Two tracks were cut from The
San Francisco Sound, Vol. 2 because of space
limitations. Here is "La Veeda," which chronologically
is the bridge between the two CD volumes. It was
recorded on July 8, 1920, upon the Hickman Orchestra's
triumphant return to New York, where they were featured
in the finale of the Ziegfeld
Follies, and afterward each evening, in the Midnight
Frolic at the Danse de Follies.
Look for a second track, "Molly-O," in our January
2006 Recording of the Month.
