The Columbia Quartette recorded this as early as 1904,
but the late take (10) and personnel suggest a later
re-recording. Singing lead is second tenor Henry Burr,
with support from bass Frank C. Stanley, baritone Steve
Porter (who gets a solo line at the end), and first tenor
Albert Campbell. Oxford was one of several companies
that leased Columbia matrices and had their own label
affixed to them and sold them at budget prices.
